Dr. Gerlinger performed a total hip replacement and this is the first time in two years that I have been able to walk without pain and the first time in a year that I have not had to use a cane. The entire team is amazing and seem to work together so well. When I ran into a problem with my incision, the problem was immediately addressed and close communication was maintained. I will be back to see De. Gerlinger when it is time for knee replacement.

Dr. Tad L. Gerlinger performed a minimally invasive total hip replacement surgery for me on June 19, 2020. From the initial visits, through the operation at Rush and the post-op visits, the experience with Dr. Gerlinger and Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush was the most professional, thorough, systematic medical procedure I have experienced. Dr. Gerlinger is truly a very competent, outstanding surgeon Patient safety, infection management, wound care, careful follow-up and rapid recovery were all excellent. Six weeks post-surgery, I was released without restrictions on my activities. As time progressed I was able to resume road cycling, tennis, and teaching fitness classes. Next year I will be doing a knee replacement with him which is his specialty . Dr Gerlinger, thank you for your great work !

Dr. Gerlinger was great!!! I had my knee done 13 years ago and decided,at a friend's advice, to check him out. I was not disappointed. He and his staff treated me as if they knew me. I was so impressed with the service and quality of their care, I sent them flowers! He got me going again. Thanks Dr. "G"!!!!!

Dr Gerlinger did total muscle sparing knee replacements on both of my knees 6 months apart...I couldn't be happier...my right knee was done in November of 2018 and my left knee was done in April of 2019...without cutting the quadriceps muscle, this procedure allowed for faster healing and a shorter incision...thank you for making a difference in my life...

Right from the first visit I felt comfortable and confident with Dr Gerlinger as the surgeon for my hip replacement. His military experience was a great bonus knowing that he’s seen the worst and if he could help injured soldiers, he could certainly help me. He and his staff clearly explained their determination of the issues with my hip and gave options for me to consider for treatment. The replacement surgery went well as was the recovery. His personality is great and takes the time to be sure all of my questions were answered. His staff is friendly and professional. I never had any concerns. I will be going back to him to fix my other hip.
