Everyone was very helpful. Listened to all my symptoms and explained the options very clearly. Dr Winners who assisted Dr Gerlinger and did the initial screening, was extremely good. She gave me the time to review 50+ yrs of knee surgeries concisely and with deep care. Then informed Dr Gerlinger who could go right to the current problem. Very impressive and I felt they both fully understood my case so they can help me.

I’m impressed with the professionalism and compassion of Dr. Gerlinger and his staff. The surgery went well and recovery is progressing nicely. There was a minor hiccup early in the recovery and the staff was extremely attentive and helped me through it. On another note, I’ve been impressed with the high level of communication through their automated texting system. The system communicates daily and often multiple times daily with helpful suggestions and encouragement; just what I needed to stay positive and on track with my recovery.

Dr. Gerlinger and his staff are amazing. I had a total hip replacement 2 years ago and initially was very hesitant and apprehensive. Dr. Gerlinger and his staff totally prepared me for the surgery, step by step. I received a packet of extremely detailed information about what to expect pre-op and post-op, medication instructions, contact information for Dr. Gerlinger and his staff should I have questions or concerns and was even given an appointment for pre-op physical therapy to learn how to manage doing stairs, sleeping, etc. immediately after surgery. This surgery was a piece of cake!!! I read everything I received and followed all his instructions and am so grateful Dr. Fernandez referred me to him. As I said, he and his staff are absolutely amazing!!

I’m happy to say I’m three weeks in to this 2nd knee recovery (which is going much more quickly than knee #1), and I know I will have a similar excellent outcome with this one. And as Dr. Gerlinger pointed out, I only have two knees - so this should do it!

Dr. Tad Gerlinger is wonderful! My surgery, recovery and ongoing prognosis is exactly what I expected based on conversations with Dr. Gerlinger and his Staff. I never felt uninformed- I was able to ask as many questions as needed and never felt rushed. He was calm right before the surgery, and although I was nervous- I felt I was in good hands. I think that a Surgeon is the total reflection of his Team- and everyone I met along my journey to Hip Replacement was honest, nice and welcoming. The Gold Coast Surgi Center staff that took care of me was amazing as well-- great experience from first visit to follow up 6 weeks later!!! If anyone thinks that recovery is an easy road- it's work, you have to put the work into the recovery to reap the rewards. I wish I had done the surgery many years ago- however, I am super pleased with the result.

Dr. Gerlinger is a doctor you can trust. He is confident in his abilities but not cocky. He's compassionate and really cares for his patients. I can never thank him enough for helping me. After two surgies with a different doctor I came to Dr. Gerlinger pretty defeated. I remember meeting him and knowing he was the doctor that could help me and he did.

I am 6 weeks post op from a total knee replacement surgery and I am walking without a cane, doing normal household cleaning and back to normal. This is my 2nd knee surgery by Dr. Gerlinger and I highly recommend him and his staff. They keep you well informed before, during and after the surgery. Dr. Gerlinger sends out daily messages to keep you informed and positive. The PT staff is the same, very supportive and positive that I can get back to my normal routine. Good luck with your surgery, but again I would highly recommend Dr. Gerlinger.

I had chronic knee issues and tried numerous "cures" to try and fix it. Dr Gerlinger took one visit and a set of x-rays and was able to tell me I was in need of a hip replacement from an injury I had at 14. I was now 28 and being faced with having to get a hip replacement at a young age. Not knowing when or if I should get it done and expressing all the activities I wanted to be able to do pain free Dr. Gerlinger told me "I wouldn't go another ski season without it"- I still am not a skiier but took his suggestion and went with the procedure. I am now almost 3 years post operation and preparing for my first marathon. This is after running numerous half marathons, 10ks, 5ks, and just going out for a quick jog. I no longer have to decide between working out and cooking dinner or having to tell friends I cant go to events because I walked too much and my leg hurt. I use to have a limp due to my leg being in pain and now I walk confidently without pain. These almost 3 years with my new hip has been a life changer thanks to Dr. Gerlinger. Dr Gerlinger gave me so much by the hip replacement. I am glad he is my doctor.

Dr. Tad Gerlinger epitomizes the words 'professional' and 'physician.' My partial knee replacement surgery was evidence of not only Dr. Gerlinger's expertise, but also his service-oriented team. This is a doctor who stays with his patients throughout not only the surgery, but also the recovery and PT period with his morning, afternoon and evening text messages. I am planning on having my other knee partially replaced as soon as is feasible and it will definitely be done by this fine and talented surgeon.

I recently had a partial knee replacement performed by Dr. Gerlinger. I cannot say enough about Dr. Gerlinger and his staff. When I first saw him I was seeking a second opinion but after meeting with him I decided he was the doctor that I wanted to operate on my knee. The entire process from my first meeting until my postop visit was perfect. Everything proceeds like clockwork in a very orderly manner. It made me feel very comfortable and confident with my decision. Also the daily texts that I received are so relevant and encouraging! I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Gerlinger to friends or relatives. My inpatient experience at Rush was also very good.
