Dr Gerlinger did a total hip replacement 10 years ago and all was well..recently I experienced some bad hip pain due to arthritis build up..he xrayed my hip and everything still looked good so he gave me a shot of cortisone in my hip and I’m a new person..I can walk fine and am really happy with my treatment..he’s just the best..sent all my friends to him and they’re all doing well, too..surgery was downtown and shot was at the oak brook location..everyone was courteous and so efficient..

Handled two knee revisions for my wife. In both cases, she was walking easily before her 3 week post surgical check-up. At my wife’s checkup I asked if I could make an appointment to have my right hip looked at. He sent me for xrays right on the spot and diagnosed that my right hip was shot. Will be scheduling surgery with him in coming months. Highly recommended!!!

I am very appreciate of the way my hip replacement surgery went with Dr. Gerlinger and his method of managing the recovery process. I am 3 weeks into recovery and I have had minimum pain and no incidents. The daily text messages monitoring my progress as well as delivering words of encouragement has been a blessing. Thank you Dr. Gerlinger because I was very hesitant about having this surgery.

Dr. Gerlinger and his staff exhibited tremendous professionalism pre, during, and post surgery. My knee was injured due to a football injury when I was 14 years old. It got worse as the years went on. I wasn't able to completely straighten my knee and the bending range of motion was probably less than 90 degrees. So almost 40 years later, I received a total knee replacement from Dr. Gerlinger and his staff. I am now able to completely straighten my knee which I am very grateful for. I was limping for many years. There is still some swelling and pain, probably due to the surgery. My knee is still healing because I feel the heat coming from it. I'm continuously working to get myself back to near 100%, but I know that the healing process can't be rushed. The doc didn't have a problem writing a note to my job to give me more time off to work on my progress. Once again, thanks doc and your staff for all that you did for me.

I had a partial non-invasive knee replacement with Dr. Gerlinger and cannot say enough about my whole experience from my first visit, through surgery, and follow up. Aside from Midwest Orthopedics efficiently run office, Dr. Gerlinger's surgery was successful to the point of mobility and little pain a month later. Kudos to Dr. Gerlinger for his innovative procedure.

Dr. Gerlinger and his team provided excellent service and support to me before, during and after my knee surgery. I received text messages that help guide me through the process with valuable tips of exercises and do’s and don’t. Dr. Gerlinger has excellent bedside manners and I have already recommended him to several friends with knee issues. In addition, the Physical Therapist at Rush Orthopedic in Munster Indiana are professional, friendly and great at their craft.

I was very impressed with Dr. Gerlinger and his team from the minute I scheduled surgery. They are constantly communicating and setting you up for success. The text messages after surgery are so important because there are so many different things you deal with physically and mentally. They are incredibly supportive and always there to answer any questions. I am so impressed with his whole team. They run a very well oiled machine and they are very hands-on and I think it makes the whole process of knee replacement surgery much easier.
