I just had my 3 week follow up and everything is progressing as planned. Dr. Gerlinger is thorough and personable. Great at answering questions. His daily emails explaining the process both before and after surgery are helpful. Plus, Rush Orthopedic is always on time, and is a pleasure to work with.

Very happy with recent visit with Dr. Gerlinger regarding my knee pain. Now that I am walking more since my hip replacement in January, 2024. I am beginning to have knee pain. Try to walk at least 2 miles daily. Have pain. Had X-rays of both knees, seen by Dr. Gerlinger's staff, then by him recommending a cortisone shot and physical therapy. I received my shot and was out of the office within 1 hour of coming in. Very happy with results thus far. Walked 1 mile yesterday and 2 miles today after having my cortisone shot 3 days ago. No pain thus far. Looking forward to having a healthy knee when i visit Arizona in September. Thanks for continued support for my orthopedic needs!!!

My experience with Doctor Gerlinger was a great one, very warm and informative. Listened to my concerns, willing to answer any questions or concerns. He Gives suggestions/advice far as your health is concerned, but you the patient will be in charge. I would definitely recommend him. His staff is very nice and helpful. If you find a doctor that is truly concerned about your progress after the surgery, and until you the patient says I better, Dr Gerlinger and His staff will definitely treat you with care.

Having had double hip replacements with Dr. Gerlinger I am more than happy to share my experiences. From beginning to the present his staff has provided exemplary care and attention. Calls with questions and concerns were either answered immediately or vms were returned same day. The level of personal care given by Dr.Gerlinger helped ease my preop anxiety and concern and has been most attentive and available at the postop exams. My questions were given amazing personal care and time. I have referred a few friends and their experiences have been the very same as mine leading to their procedures. The staff and personnel at Rush Orthopedics and Xray dept and at the Gold Coast Surgical Center were kind, considerate and totally professional. The great aftercare physical therapy from Rush has been a huge part of my recovery and I want to give them 5 stars as well. My list of notable people is below and I want to give a shoutout to all of them…. Alissa, Kerry, Bryce R., Abby C., Kennsington, and Abraham… Thank you to all those professionals Dr. Gerlinger depends on every day with his patients. Keep up the great work!!

After 2yrs of knowing my partial did not feel right(From another ortho Dr) Dr Gerlinger replaced it with a complete full knee replacement . This service was very professional, structured, and clean! They even sent text messages along the way which are very useful in pre-op and post-op phases. I am walking straight now and the joint feels more normal. My wife and i drove 3 hrs for this process each visit and i have no regrets ! Dr Gerlinger and his nurse Kelly are truly caring people and it shows ! I Highly recommend this provider and will tell everyone i know about my experience !

When I finally decided it must be time for a replacement I did extensive research for the best knee surgeon in the Chicago area. After reading about Dr Gerlinger there was no doubt that he was the one. If you haven’t decided on a surgeon it would be well worth your time to read of his experiences and expertise.Dr Gerlinger replaced my left knee in 2016-the recovery time amazed the physical therapists Last year Dr Gerlinger replaced my right knee-would not have had anyone else but Dr Gerlinger do the surgery. My recovery again was quick and finished physical my therapy ahead of schedule: His staff is amazing-you can’t go wrong with Dr Gerlinger.
