Dr. Gerlinger and his staff are second to none! I was a candidate for half of a knee replacement and my recovery from the outpatient surgery was way quicker than I anticipated and the pain level was very minor, less than I expected as well. He is a truly talented surgeon that I highly recommend.

I did thorough research before compiling a list of orthopedic surgeons that I would consider for my hip replacement. After visiting with Dr. Gerlinger and Nurse Kelly, I chose to schedule at the Oakbrook surgicenter and the staff there at were also all exceptional.
All my questions were answered, whether in the office, by email or over the phone, before, after or on the day of surgery. They gave sound, logical advice and the care I received was exactly what I hoped it would be. I’m now six weeks post-op and expect my recovery to continue, without incident. As far as I can tell at this point in time, they did a wonderful job replacing my right hip. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Gerlinger.

Dr. Tad Gerlinger and his team have been top-notch in every facet and every step of my right hip replacement journey! From my first consultation with Dr. Gerlinger through Physical Therapy, every professional I've encountered has been engaged and invested in my personal care and recovery. The pre-surgical information session offered was clear, very detailed on what to expect and, in the end, extremely accurate. And, the text message service was fantastic in preparing me for surgery, then in guiding my recovery, advising me of various milestones along the way. This is a well-oiled machine! The true test is to ask the question "If you had to do it again, would you have Dr. Gerlinger and team do your surgery?" For me, that's a resounding YES! And, I WILL to replace my left hip later this year!

What a great experience from beginning to end. Dr Gerlinger was very detailed and kept me well informed the whole process of having my hip replaced. His daily text messages on what to expect, encouragement, and exercises for recovery were awesome! I would highly recommend De Gerlinger for your hip replacement surgery.

I am so happy I found Dr. Gerlinger to replace my knee. This being the first time under the “knife” , there was a lot of anxiety. Dr. Gerlinger and his staff made the entire process comfortable from start to finish. The daily post op text messages really helped in the healing process. I gave a 5 star review only because there weren’t more stars !

Dr Gerlinger and his staff are the BEST. Having knee replacement surgery is challenging but Dr Gerlinger explained everything in detail to make the process manageable. I would definitely recommend Dr Gerlinger if you need surgery!!!

He encouraged me to not have surgery at this time if the pane was not that severe. So I’ll take his advise since he all ready did my right knee about three years ago and it came out perfect. Hate to go into Chicago anyway with all the trouble crime wise and with the muslims shutting down O’Hare field on Monday of this week protesting. Hate Chicago but like Doctor Gerlinger very much. He did offer up another Doctor to go to should I need to do something with my left knee and sometime. Thankfully it would be in a much nicer and safer city and enviroment than Chicago.

Dr Gerlinger explained how he would perform hip replacement surgery for me and also the WHY behind his medical decisions. I really appreciate the way he took time to educate me about the procedure. He also explained the top reasons people decide to get a hip replacement. When I decide it is time for my hip replacement I definitely want Dr Gerlinger to perform the surgery. He makes me feel confident that I will have a good outcome.

I am now 6 weeks post-op for a total rt knee replacement My care with Dr Gerlingler has been wonderful & complete- His daily texts are just what I wanted both for advice & encouragement. His surgical team were great -Kelly his assistant is always so positive & able to answer any questions or concerns that we had. The best I can say is thank you one and all for making my recovery so easy!!!

My hip surgery was a seem less process. I would definitely sign up for the daily text messages. They were very encouraging and helpful in staying on track with the healing process. I would definitely recommend Dr. Gerlinger and his team when it comes to orthopedic surgery.
