Dr Gerlinger and his team made my partial medial knee replacement the best surgery experience I have ever had. They are diligent about keeping you well informed and well supported throughout the process. Other Doctors told me to wait to get a full knee replacement when I was older, which meant forgoing my favorite activities now. I am a very active 59 year old who only had missing cartilage on one side of my knee, so with Dr Gerlinger’s expertise in partials, I felt strongly that this was the best solution, and it turned out wonderfully.

Four weeks ago today I had a partial knee replacement with Dr. Gerlinger from Midwest Orthopedics at Rush in Oakbrook. I was home recovering within hours after the procedure. His practice encompasses daily texts which explain what you should be experiencing throughout each day. Those texts were spot on every day! He has you start physical therapy one week after surgery, which my recovery is ahead of schedule. In my opinion, I believe Dr. Gerlinger and his staff are top notch, a best in class practice that I would highly recommend.

Had knee replacement surgery with Dr. Gerlinger. He did an excellent job, after three weeks the scar has almost disappeared. Have had a great experience from start to finish. His staff does a great job as well.

Helped my knee to stop hurting thru a combination of drainig fluid from my knee followed by a steroid injection. Very capable and easygoing demeanor. I highly recommend him.

I was very pleased with the results from my visit. A non- surgical route seems possible and I’m all- in on that. The steroid injection led to relief from pain and increased mobility within a few hours after the procedure. Hopefully my insurance approves the hyaluronic acid injection. I’ll pay for it out of my own pocket if it doesn’t. Thank you for your great care!

I chose Dr. Tad Gerlinger for my partial knee replacement based on the recommendation of a friend, and after being impressed with my initial consultation at Midwest Orthopaedics. Dr. Gerlinger has an amazing resume and experience and I wanted a surgeon who specializes in knee surgery. His staff is incredibly helpful and kind, and the entire process was smooth. The physical therapy is excellent and a key part of recovery. Dr. Gerlinger's practice sends automated texts both pre-surgery and during recovery with timely information and encouragement, which has been very helpful, especially since this is my only experience with knee surgery and I didn't know what to expect.
