I am extremely happy with my knee replacement by Dr Gerlinger and his team. Almost daily text messages kept me well informed and I found them very useful during my recovery period.

Dr. Gerlinger was wonderful! My right knee replacement went very well. Dr Gerlinger sent a personal text to me about every three days post op reminding me of exercises I needed to do at home with lots of encouragement. The encouragement I received motivated me to excel in my recovery. I definitely recommend Dr. Gerlinger and Rush Hospital!!

My recent visit with Dr. Tad Gerlinger was a pleasure! There was no need to 'internally' supervise his assessment or diagnosis of my concern. I did not need to second guess his expertise. The doctor's professional depth is visible. His trustworthiness is felt. Dr Gerlinger stands head and shoulders above most medical professionals that I have encountered personally or in the course of my business in Behavioral Healthcare. I am deeply appreciative.

The orthopedic department at Rush University Hospital is run very professionally and efficiently. Dr Gerlinger is methodical and caring in his diagnosis and explains the problem and treatments very thoroughly. I was very pleased with my visit.

I traveled from the Toledo Ohio area to Oakbrook Ill. to see Dr. Gerlinger. I told myself if he didn't perform an actual physical exam of my hip displasia I wouldn't choose him as my Dr. Since I had gone to several other specialist and decided against each one, for not doing a hands on check. I know they have xray but when you take the time to travel out of state and have use hotel accommodations to see any doctor, the least they can do is have a hands on approach. Well Dr. Gillenger is very mild mannered and extremely nice. He not only was was present but he felt present to my issue and he explained in detail my choices and chances regarding the procedure. He actually did a physical observation exam as well as visual. Which was comforting because it made me feel appreciated that I had taken the time to seek out his expertise. He didn't make me feel rushed, just at ease and seen. He gave me detailed information to consider and left the final decision up to me. Thank You Dr. Gerlinger, it was a pleasure meeting you. The first 10 days after surgery I was nauseus, unable to eat, weak and unable to take narcodics. The support team was very helpful with every call I made to them. They thought maybe I had reflux and to get off the narcodics and just take Tylenol 500 and Advil. They suggested I call my primary doctor to get a prescription for a PPI. Once I did that, I was able to eat.Still had Constipation for a couple more days. I Appreciated the daily messages as they related to where I was in my recovery. Actually looked forward to them. I did a lot of pre surgery exercises which seemed to help a lot. The first time I went to p.t. in Rush, they said I did so well that I probably didn't have to come back. I was very weak, sick and tired that I asked to stay a few more days. My knees snapped twice one day. I am in my 6th week since surgery and p.t. told me to start using the cane.. They said I am doing very well. I will be very happy when this pain ends. I would recommend Dr. Gerlinger and his team to others.

Meant with Doctor and his nurse they took pic’s of my right knee after he looked at the x-rays he told me everything looked good and he’d see me in 3 years. All told I was at Rush Oak Brook maybe 1 hour and then on my way. Great Doctor If recommend him to anyone seeking knee surgery.

My experience with Dr. Gerlinger and his team was outstanding. Collectively they are a well oiled machine which made the whole experience much easier. Dr. Gerlinger is incredibly knowledgeable and professional. Everything was explained so I knew what to expect from surgery, rehab and recovery. I have no pain and have been able to get back to my favorite activities. Even took a few strokes off the golf score. I would highly recommend Dr. Gerlinger.

My visit with Dr Tad Gerlinger was an awesome experience. He and his fellowship both examined my right hip, leg and knee along with e-rays that reassured me my Prosthetics were not damaged from my resent fall. A shot of cortisone and a script for some therapy completed my visit. He and his team made me feel calm and comfortable. He is polite, excellent communicator and provided me a reassurance the pain should be gone within a short period of time. I will be forever thankful for his skills and surgically rebuilding my pelvis and right hip almost a decade ago that given me the opportunity to enjoy a wonder Life. Thank you!
